Individual Supports

Our goal is to support you in the least restrictive environment in the community as independently and safely as possible.

MCS offers programs for individuals with disabilities who live apart from their families.  Individuals live independently (alone), with their child or children and/or with their “significant other” and require less than 24 hours per day of supports.

How does this Program benefit individuals?

Individual Supports offer a wide range of services:

Staffing: Staff may work with individuals on a variety of life skills such as:

  • money management (banking, bill paying, budgeting);
  • shopping (groceries, personal);
  • help with organizing their living environment, housekeeping;
  • sorting through mail, ensuring that their rent is paid on time;
  • assistance with accessing generic resources (Section 8 housing, SNAP benefits, MassHealth);
  • assistance with medical appointments;
  • recreation & community integration

Personal Care Assistance (PCA support) – individuals may need help with hiring their PCA workers, submitting their PCA’s timesheets, or filling out other paperwork
