Residential Services

Providing safe, supportive homes where individuals can live with dignity, independence, and belonging.

Since 1979, Multicultural Community Services (MCS) has provided community-based homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our approach centers on one guiding belief: Each person has the right to shape their own home.

MCS homes are warm, inclusive, and designed to reflect each person’s preferences, goals, and support needs. With the help of our compassionate and trained staff, residents develop life skills, build lasting friendships, and actively participate in their communities.

Our Residential Program Offers

Community-Based Homes

MCS provides 24-hour residential supports in welcoming homes that typically serve three to five individuals, offering safety, stability, and companionship.

Personalized Support Plans

Each resident’s goals and preferences are central to their support plan, fostering growth, independence, and self-determination.

Skill Building & Inclusion

Residents are encouraged to develop daily living skills, engage in their communities, and cultivate meaningful relationships.

Who We Serve

The Residential Services Program supports adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities who benefit from structured, 24-hour assistance in a community home environment. Our team works closely with the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to ensure that each person receives services tailored to their unique needs, abilities, and goals.

Staff Excellence

Our Residential Program is led by experienced professionals committed to quality and compassion. Each home benefits from a consistent team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide daily guidance, encouragement, and care.

Our Approach

MCS believes that every individual deserves more than just a place to live — they deserve a home.
Our residential supports emphasize:

  • Individual choice and autonomy in daily routines and decisions
  • Community inclusion through volunteering, social activities, and employment
  • Health and safety through professional oversight and compassionate care
  • Skill development to promote confidence and independence

Residents receive ongoing support from a dedicated team of direct care professionals, each trained to uphold the dignity and human rights of those they serve.
