Respite Support

Providing families with flexible relief and peace of mind.

Caring for a loved one with a disability is a full-time responsibility, and every caregiver deserves a break. MCS offers a range of respite options tailored to meet the distinct needs of each family. From one-on-one in-home care to group activities and weekend stays, we offer safe and supportive settings for both individuals and their caregivers.

Respite Options

1:1 Respite

MCS has a small pool of trained direct care staff available to provide individualized support in the family’s home.

Family-Identified Respite

Families may choose someone they already know and trust to provide care. MCS coordinates approval and offers a stipend to the identified provider.

Facility-Based Respite

With a DDS referral, individuals can enjoy weekend respite at our accessible home in Westfield — complete with personalized activities and 24-hour support.

Group Respite

Group activities throughout the year focus on fun, creativity, and socialization — planned with input from participants to match their interests and abilities.

Eligibility & Access

All respite options must be discussed and approved with your Service Navigator and/or DDS Service Coordinator.
Availability may vary depending on funding and program capacity.
