Family Advisory Committee

Empowering families to share their voice, shape programs, and strengthen community partnerships.

At Multicultural Community Services (MCS), we believe that the best programs are built in collaboration with the people they serve. To ensure family perspectives are heard and integrated into decision-making, MCS established two Family Advisory Councils — one serving our Holyoke Family Support Center, and another serving our Springfield Family Support Center and SOS Program.

Each council provides a space for families to share feedback, discuss program experiences, and collaborate with MCS leadership to improve services and strengthen our community.

Our Purpose

The Family Advisory Council helps guide MCS in staying connected, responsive, and innovative. Members contribute by:

  • Offering input and ideas to enhance family-centered services
  • Reviewing and discussing program goals and upcoming initiatives
  • Sharing community needs, successes, and opportunities for growth

Helping MCS identify and celebrate what’s working — and where we can do better

Meeting Details

Each council meets bi-monthly to discuss updates, feedback, and new initiatives:

  • Holyoke Family Support Council: meets at the Holyoke office
  • Springfield Family Support Council: meets at the Westfield office and supports both Springfield Family Support and the SOS Program

All families receiving MCS support are welcome to participate and share their perspectives. We deeply value family input and encourage anyone interested in contributing their voice to join the Family Advisory Council.
