Hours: FT – 40 hours per week – must maintain a flexible schedule that allows for regular work during evenings and on weekends.
Responsibilities: Service Navigators support families who have a family member with an Intellectual Disability. Supports include, but are not limited to, case management, accessing generic services, assessing needs, developing Family Support Plans, and providing information and referrals.
This newly created position will also oversee planned respite supports for families including recruiting, training, and supervising direct support professionals and matching employees with people needing respite supports. The Respite Service Navigator will also coordinate, and staff as needed, site-based respite activities at the Family Support Center or other community settings. Direct Support with Individuals is a large part of this position.
Required Training/Skills: Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
