Direct Support Professional (DSP) – HBRS Program

Summary:

Responsiblitlies:

  • Provide direct care and support tailored to individuals with medical complexities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility support.
  • Implement care plans and follow medical protocols as directed.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for individuals.
  • Support community involvement and engagement through outings and activities.
  • Document and report on client progress, concerns, and any incidents.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); relevant certifications or training preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with medical complexities, disabilities, or special needs is highly valued.
  • Ability to assist with personal care tasks and follow medical care plans.
  • Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. 
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet all state and program-specific requirements.
