Free computers for consumers.

Depending upon availability, MCS will donate computer related hardware to Department of Developmental Services consumers. Available hardware includes:

A complete working system (computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse).
Individual components such as keyboards, monitors, etc. are also available.
Laptop computers, printers, and specialized components such as scanners and assistive technology devices may also be available.

Some things to keep in mind…

The computers donated will be used, but functional. The operating system will be Windows 2000 or later. Microsoft Internet Explorer (web browser) and Outlook Express (e-mail) are included.
The computer will likely include an Ethernet port which is necessary for a home DSL or cable broadband connection.
These computers will NOT include application programs, DVD drives, wireless cards, modems, printers, or external speakers.
The free computer does NOT include instruction, maintenance, or internet service.
