Adult Foster Care is a MassHealth funded program for elders or individuals with disabilities over the age of 16 who cannot safely live alone, but want to live in a home setting rather than a nursing home or another facility. A care provider can be a family member (not a spouse) or a non family member who receives a monthly stipend to provide personal care and support with activities of daily living to the elder or person with a disability.
